Then we held the BIG race. And their off.....
Georgie comes home first.
Madelyn finishes a strong second.

We don't get many family photos of the four of us. Here we are in front of the house a couple of months back.
The kids are finally getting to the age where we can go for some really great day trips. Last weekend it was off to Cape Hillsborough National Park for some kangarooo patting, and a dip in the ocean.
With such a good looking group of spectators, Lyle Martin was trying very hard not to disappoint in the U17s Mackay Rugby League Grand Final. And disappoint he certainly did NOT do. Brothers U17s took home the cup...and Georgie took home a pinwheel !
ONYA BROTHERS !!!!!!!
Dream on Madelyn and Georgie. No matter how good you look, we are NOT getting a quadbike.

It's amazing what can be done with a group of energetic kids, a cardboard box and one very patient dad.
My Beautiful Girls
Georgie spotted these dresses and insisted that she wear it for her photo. Madelyn wasn't quite so sure about her dress.

It was a beautiful day for painting for my future Picassos.
Is this what they mean by "body art" ?
Georgie's rainbow paintings will brighten your day.
Madelyn shows us all her beautiful teeth.
Say "Cheese" !!!
Clark Street is coming along nicely. Roof is on and cladding is half done.
Looking out from the back deck, we can just get ocean "glimpses".
The girls love to help Poppy in the garden...and what a fine garden it is. The brocoli is just beautiful.
Georgie takes a moment to reflect just how good the brocoli really is.
Happy Birthday Daddy !!!
27 July was Mark's birthday and we celebrated in the good old fashioned way with a birthday cake. Pity we didn't have enough candles.
Madelyn and Georgie are making themselves at home, even taking over Grandma and Poppa's bed !!!

Clark Street is Under Construction !!!
Finally work is underway. 6 months in the planning (was it only 6 months??? feels like MUCH longer) construction of our new home at Grasstree Beach has started.
We are still hopeful of being in by Christmas so we are expecting you all to come visit us in the New Year.

A visit from Fletcher Riley Brown
On a chilly Saturday evening, we gathered up Gargett way to check out the new inclusion to the Martin Family. Fletcher Riley Brown, son of Paula and Darren Brown, was a bit overwhelmed by all these relatives.
"What do you mean Mum? I'm related to these people ???"
