Madelyn and Georgie made some beautiful Mother's Day presents at kindy. And attached to the presents were some special Mother's Day poems that made everyone cry.
(attached to Georgie's handprint)
This is my hand so tiny and small,
For you to cherish until I am tall.
Please watch me as the years go by,
See how we grow, my hand and I.

Mummy I love you for all that you do.
For all the times you gently picked my up when I fell down.
For all the time you tied my shoes and tucked me into bed.
For everything we share - the dreams, the laughter and the tears.
So smile because I love you on this Mother's Day.
(attached to a teapot cutout that Madelyn painted - teabag as well)
I though as it is Mother's Day,
You might like a cup of tea.
And this is just the safest way,
For a little kid like me.
So please sit back and just relax,
As you have this one from me.
(attached to a stone that Georgie had painted)
Sometimes we need a small reminder to be grateful for the things in our life that we may be taking for granted. Keep this stone somewhere close and during the day when you happen to touch it or see it, remember the things for which you are grateful and say -
"Thank you for the gift of a child.
Thank you that you belong and are loved.
Thank you
Thank you"
I get a lump in my throat just typing this.
Hope all the Mums out there had a memorable day like I did.
Happy Mother's Day 2007
